Introducing FilmSC

As a vendor or small business in South Carolina that has worked with and supported the motion picture industry in the past, FilmSC is asking for your additional support and participation in a new venture to help strengthen and expand the Film Industry here in South Carolina.

The recently formed FilmSC is a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing the film industry in South Carolina through education, training, networking and advocacy.

For a few months now, a small group of film industry professionals -- vendors, producers and crew -- have been meeting to work towards getting film production in South Carolina "back on track":

FilmSC will focus our efforts on these main areas:

1. Strengthen South Carolina's motion picture and television production infrastructure and develop new vendor opportunities for South Carolina's small and medium sized businesses.
2. Create high paying jobs in the motion picture industry.
3. Develop educational opportunities to help South Carolina residents find jobs in the motion picture industry by bridging the gap between education and the work force.
